Building Services Engineer

Plumbing, Sewage & Drainage, HVAC & R, VTS. Project Size: All project sizes, ranging from low rise, medium rise to high rise buildings. It can be a villa, bungalow, mansion, residential tower, commercial tower, Hotel, Estate (large or small), etc. Tasks: Designing, inspection and problem-solving/trouble-shooting on site, supervision, preparing list of materials & equipment with their cost estimates (BoQ), preparing and issuing specifications/ instructions for proper installation of items and equipment for smooth functioning and also as per building standards & regulations so as to safeguard and preserve the overall usability and integrity of the building and infrastructure. Scope of services Water systems: a) Water Supply: -Borehole water and fresh/potable water, (hot and cold), water treatment, pumps, pipework, tanks, etc. b) Entertainment Water Systems - swimming pools, - water parks, - spas, - saunas, j- jacuzzi, - water fountains - etc. c) Industrial Water Systems - cooling systems for factory machines/ equipment, etc. Sewage/Waste/Drainage & Sanitary Systems: - septic tank & soak away pit, grease trap etc. - stormwater drainage storm drainage system, -rain water harvesting system, -sanitaryware selection. (NB: all above systems with the required plumbing). Fire suppression systems: - automatic fire sprinklers, - fire hose reels, - fire Hydrants, -fire suppression - water storage tanks, - fire pumps, and required plumbing, - fire extinguishers, - automatic stairwell pressurization systems etc. HVAC systems (Heating, Ventilation & Air Conditioning): - VRF/VRV, RTU, MDS, AHU, Chillers (Water Cooled & Air Cooled), Split air conditioning systems, air curtains etc., heat pumps, ventilation systems (both ducted and unducted), in rooms, toilets, bathrooms, etc. air extract hoods for kitchens (both recirculating and non-recirculating cooker hoods), barbeque hoods, industrial hoods, etc. Gas Systems - Domestic, commercial & industrial Refrigeration - Cold-rooms & Freezer-rooms Hydronics, - both water-only and water plus glycol anti-freeze systems Data Centres, - CRAC, CRAH, etc. Fuel Stations - Petrol, Diesel, Kerosene, etc. Medical Gas Pipeline Systems (MGPS) - Surgical Air, Medical Air, Oxygen, Vacuum, Nitrous Oxide, WAGSS, etc Lawn Irrigation - Tanks pumps and required pipework VTS - - These include Lifts, Escalators, etc. - And other mehanical building services
